In loving memory of my dearest and sweet Nanny.

This morning Nanny Cash, my great grandma passed away. She was born August 15,1915. That was wayyyy long ago. She lived to be 100 which is a blessing to my family. I guess we thought she would be in the family forever but God had other plans. One thing about Nanny, was that she was a lady of prayer. When she lived with us, I would hear her praying in her room until she got up and shouted or she would open her door and run with her walker around the house. Nanny was a lady who knew how to have church anywhere! I always loved to sit and talk to her stories. One story she always told was how she would go to a certain rock in the woods to pray. She would tell stories about God's many healings in her life and family. One story that was amazing was about my great uncle William who was Nanny's oldest son. When he was a teenager he lost out with God little by little. One night Nanny had a dream. In her dream William was crying and telling her ''Mama, they are coming after me at midnight.'' In her dream she looked at the clock and there was 5 minutes until midnight. Still in her dream, she fell to the floor andcried out to God, and said, ''Please God, don't let them come after him-he's not ready. He's not saved.''. Still in her dream, he came back to her and said ''Mama, they didn't come after me.'' She then woke up from her dream and prayed all night that God would save William's soul. William went through 50 long and miserable years of his life without God. Just before the midnight hour of his life, he made everything right with God and God refilled him with the Holy Ghost. Nanny got the oppurtuity to talk to him about the Lord many hours before he passed on to meet the Lord! There are many more stories like this that shows how much of a prayer warrior she was! God healed Jimmy her youngest son of leukemia. God healed Elizabeth her youngest daughter of a fever. Nanny had so much faith and always had faith that the Lord would stick by her side all through her life. Nanny Cash is a great example of what a apostolic lady should be. I will always love, miss and remember her. It's been a rough year this year with two family members dying, but I know that the Lord has His reasons. There is a song that me and my family were listening to on the way to church, it was called ''Goin' away party''. It's by Jeff and Sherri Easter. It reminded us sooo much of Nanny.

This was the last picture I got with Nanny.  Which was this past Thanksgiving.

Verse 1: Born in 1900 she has her share of hard times
At the age of 15 she met the love of her life
And how she adored Him, loved Him to her dying day
So we celebrated when we put her in the grave

Chorous: So we threw a goin' away party
                the event of the year
The day that she lived for
                 is finally here
                 The oned that she loved
                 wants her by His side
                 So strike up the band
                 It's party time

Verse 2: For many years she served her community well
              And on occasion she's stumble
But it's saying that God never fails
She was in love with Jesus
He always stayed on her mind
              And now they're together
              Having one heavenly time!
